What Data We Collect

Tortol does not collect any personal data. The app has no internet connection, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising SDK.

Everything you enter — cards, installments, payments, and your PIN — is stored exclusively on your device using a local database (Isar). None of this information is transmitted anywhere.

What Stays on Your Device

• Credit card names, colors, and settings
• Installment records and monthly amounts
• Payment history and rollover balances
• Your PIN (stored as a secure hash — never as plain text)
• App preferences and purchase status

In-App Purchase

Tortol offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited access. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Tortol does not receive or store any payment information — only a confirmation that the purchase was completed.

Biometric Data

If you enable fingerprint or Face ID unlock, biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system (Android BiometricManager / iOS LocalAuthentication). Tortol never has access to your biometric data.

Notifications

Payment reminders are scheduled locally on your device using the operating system's notification APIs. No data is sent to any server to deliver these notifications.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling Tortol permanently deletes all data stored by the app. There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.

Children's Privacy

Tortol is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
